For 25-years, Col. Ray dedicated his life to serving his country and caring for servicemembers and their families while fighting oppression, easing suffering and protecting vulnerable populations across the Middle East and Asia.

Col. Ray has repurposed his calling to serve others by addressing mental health reform in the Armed Forces and first response fields including, law enforcement, the fire service, and emergency medical personnel, in and across public and private sectors. There are very few senior Special Forces leaders that have the experience, credibility, and vulnerability to discuss mental health, suicide, and recovery. Col. Ray has become a trusted mentor and writer on mental health awareness, support, and finding a path to wellness and recovery.
